Our next list in Healthy Living is all about food prep. Diets are a big part of resolutions and the best way to stick to a diet is to prepare food yourself. To be successful in this endeavor it helps to have great cookware items that make food preparation easy and fun.
Slicing and Dicing
Vegetables are an important part of a healthy diet and some must-have items for veggie prep include a great salad spinner, spiralizer, herb stripper, and knives. DKB (Zyliss), Cuisinart, and Harold Import Company all have great options.
Cooking and Baking
Once you’ve finished your prep, a good non-stick pan or silicone baking mat will let you cook with less oils and less mess. Steam is also a great way to cook healthily.
Pickling and fermenting foods creates beneficial enzymes, b-vitamins, and probiotics all of which are great for supporting gut health. Gut health has been linked to our overall well being. Brewing kombucha, making kimchi, and picking vegetables have all become popular at-home activities.
